We focus on preparing athletes for the life beyond sport. Helping children and youth athletes of all ages grow in a safe and nurturing environment through leadership, knowledge, and mutual respect.

We promote a healthy, diverse community and encourage cross cultural and multi-generational interactions by providing positive programs and enriching activities while also continuing our success in USA Climbing on the regional, national, and one day olympic level for years to come.

BFK Kids provides a wide variety of recreational programming. The primary program offering is youth climbing classes. Participants for these classes start at one year old with parent participation through 18 years old.

Other programs offered at BFK Kids include open adult climbing classes, private lessons, and birthday parties. Table 1 details the number of classes and participants in the last two years.

IT’S PERSONAL

IDEAL COACH-ATHLETE RATIO’S

We value the development of a young buddin’ athlete. There are so many factors that determine growth, and success. Every kid has a different background, and different experience. Keeping ratios ideal allows us to make sure that kids feel welcome, appreciated, and strong.

REMOVING BARRIERS

REDEFINING A CLIMBER

Climbers come from all backgrounds, races, and cultures. We want to make our youth feel comfortable to be a rock climber. Diversity and inclusion is paramount is sustaining acceptance of others in our sport. We want to help redefine the climber, changing the narrative.

CONFIDENCE

THE POWER TO MOVE FORWARD

Climbing plays an amazing role in building self-confidence. Kids need to know that they can from an early age. This confidence continues through out the developmental stages into the adult life. Whether it’s recreationally focused or competition, climbing strengthens the mind.
